What WIRE does

Gas

Every transaction and contract call on WireFluid is paid in WIRE. Fees are low and predictable, you need hold WIRE to use the chain.

Staking & security

Validators stake WIRE to produce blocks; delegators stake to validators and share in rewards. Staked WIRE secures the network and drives consensus.

Governance

Protocol upgrades, parameter changes, and treasury decisions are decided by on-chain proposals. Voting power is tied to staked WIRE.

Settlement & DeFi

WIRE is the default unit of account for fees and incentives. Apps and users settle in WIRE; liquidity and yield across the ecosystem are denominated in it.

Native by design

WIRE is not a wrapped or bridged asset. It is issued and used natively on WireFluid. All protocol-level rewards, slashing, and fee flows are in WIRE, so the same asset aligns validators, developers, and users. Whether you interact via an EVM wallet or WireFluid-native tools, WIRE is the common denominator.
